An exotic beachside island paradise awaits you at Ramon’s Village! Authentic thatched roof cabanas, lagoon-style pool, and lush vegetation all add to the tropical ambiance.
The beach is one of the prettiest on Ambergris Caye. Enjoy 500 feet of white coral sand and coconut palms. For your comfort, beach lounge chairs with cushions and hammocks are provided. The staff of the Purple Parrot will also serve you a a cold refreshing tropical fruit drink on the beach.
Accommodations include sixty-one thatched roof cabanas, either oceanside or tucked among the lush foliage to provide secluded hideaways for those who are ready for relaxation. All are air conditioned and fan-cooled for idyllic comfort.
Descriptions of each room category
The Beachfront Group – located directly on the beach 40 to 80 feet from the water’s edge. Stunning views of the Caribbean Sea and the Belize Barrier Reef. Individual Cabanas or Rooms & Suites in two-story cabanas.
Beachfront King Unit – (8) Units – Last Renovated 2010 – These rooms are on the lower level of the Beachfront Buildings. There are two rooms in each building separated by an open air breezeway. Beachfront Units feature Belizean Mahogany floors, trim, and cabinetry, Palmetto Wainscoting with Hand Painted Borders, a private bath with shower, table and chairs for two, and a king bed. Custom built French Glass Panels offer stunning views of the Caribbean Sea and provide access to your own beachside verandah. (1) King Bed – Sleeps (2) people
Mini Suite – (2) Units – Last Renovated 2010 – This Beachfront Suite is one of two suites located on the second floor of a two-story, thatched roof cabana. Each Beachfront Mini Suite has tile floors, private bath with shower, sitting area, kitchenette, king bed and French doors opening onto a private verandah. The exposed thatch roof within the room adds to the spaciousness of the unit and provides a true tropical feeling. (1) King Bed – Sleeps (2) People
A lock door allows the Mini Suite to be rented in combination with the adjoining Guest suite as a Two Bedroom Suite.
Guest Suite – (2) Units – Last Renovated 2010 – These beach front suites feature tall thatch roofs exposed within the room which create a feeling of tropical spaciousness. One of two suites located on the second floor of a two-story, thatched roof cabana. Each Beachfront Guest Suite has tile floors, private bath with tub/shower, sitting area, king bed and French doors opening onto a private balcony. (1) King Bed – Sleeps (2) People

Honeymoon Cabana – (2) Units – Last Renovated 2010 – These individual, Polynesian Styled Cabanas feature beautiful Mahogany flooring and exposed thatch roof ceilings throughout. They provide a private bath with shower, bar counter and refreshment center, sitting area, dressing table, king bed, and French windows and doors opening onto a private wrap around verandah with your own personal hammock. (1) King Bed – Sleeps 2 People
Presidential Suite – (2) Units – Last Renovated 2010 – These spacious suites occupy the entire upper level of our two-story beachfront cabanas. Saltillo tile floors combine with mahogany trim and cabinetry and the expansive palm thatch roof to provide an authentic Mayan feel with a Polynesian flare. 600 square feet of space provides a private bath with shower, kitchenette with bar counter and stools, a dining area with seating for 4, a sitting area with a queen sleeper sofa and chairs and a writing area. The King size bed faces a wall of French glass panels opening onto a full length beachside verandah. Sleeps (4) People
Grand Suite – (1) Deluxe and (1) Premier – These rooms were added during reconstruction in the fall of 2013. Although they set back from the water a little further (about 100 feet) than the rest of our Beachfront units they have been carefully positioned to afford beautiful views of the water and capture the trade winds we all come to enjoy while on the island. At just under 500 square feet these units are the largest rooms we offer other than the Presidential Suite. A two-story building houses the Grand Suite Deluxe on the lower level and the Grand Suite Premier on the upper level. Both units provide private baths with large shower stalls and separate vanity areas with granite countertops. There is a mini kitchenette, dinette set with 4 stools, sitting area with a queen sleeper sofa and chairs, and a writing area with desk and chair. The four poster king size bed faces a wall of French glass panels opening onto a full length beachside verandah. The Mahogany flooring and Barbajolote wood cabinetry blend beautifully with the Bamboo Furniture. The Grand Suite Deluxe features a gorgeous ceiling made of mixed Belizean Hardwoods with recessed lighting while the Grand Suite Premier enjoys the Palm Thatched Roof within the room. In addition to the exposed Palm Thatch Roof the Premier unit also enjoys a little better view and breeze. Sleeps (4) People each Unit.
The Seaside Group – just a few steps further from the shoreline than our Beachfront units (65 to 125 feet) these rooms offer close proximity to the water’s edge and provide partial water views. Choose from a combination of Individual and Two-Story Cabanas.
Seaside Standard – (4) Double and (8) King – Last Renovated 2010- The Double is an individual thatched roof cabana which features Belizean Mahogany floors, trim, and cabinetry, Palmetto wainscoting with hand painted borders, a private bath with shower, table and chairs for two, and two Full size beds. French Panel Door units open onto your own private verandah. Sleeps (4) people – The King unitsoffer a choice of first or second floor accommodations in one of our two-story buildings. There are two rooms on each floor separated by an open air breezeway. They are constructed in the same fashion as the Double but provide a single King bed. Sleeps (2) People.
Seaside Deluxe –(1) Cabana Queen, (1) Cabana King and (1) First Floor Unit Queen – Constructed Fall of 2013 – The Seaside Deluxe Units provide many upgrades over the Standard Rooms. The buildings have been arranged to provide increased privacy and better views of the water. The unit size has been increased by about 15%. They provide Queen beds rather than Full, larger showers with bench, larger vanities with granite counter tops, increased luggage and clothes hanging area, in room refreshment center, upholstered bamboo chairs with table and updated finishes throughout the room. The first floor room has a mixed Belizean Hardwood ceiling with recessed lighting. Queen room provides (2) beds. Sleeps (4) People – King Room Has (1) Bed – Sleeps (2) People. First floor unit is a two-story building with one room on each floor.
Seaside Premier – (1) Cabana Queen, (1) Second Floor Unit King – Constructed Fall of 2013 – The Seaside Premier Units offer the same accommodation as the Deluxe unit however the Cabana provides better positioning to the beach and the Second Floor Room provides the Palm Thatched Roof and enhanced water views. Queen room provides (2) beds. Sleeps (4) People – King Room Has (1) Bed – Sleeps (2) People. Second floor unit is a two-story building with one room on each floor.
Poolside Deluxe – (2) First Floor Units – Constructed Fall of 2013 – Constructed identical to the Seaside Deluxe Units these rooms have been positioned to provide partial views of the Caribbean Sea as well as stunning views of the pool area. Both are first floor rooms in a two-story building with one room on each level. (2) Queen Beds – Sleeps (4) People
Poolside Premier – (2) Second Floor Units – Constructed Fall of 2013 – These second floor units offer all the upgrades of the Seaside Deluxe and Premier rooms with the addition of gorgeous views of the pool area (especially in the evening). (1) King Bed – Sleeps (2) People
The Jungle Group – Jungle Cabanas are just that. While only steps from the shoreline of the Caribbean Sea (175 to 200 feet) you will lose yourself in the dense jungle foliage that surrounds our Jungle Rooms. Choose one of our individual cabanas or a second floor unit with treetop views. Guests staying in these rooms can pick fresh plantains from their verandah, enjoy the many flowering shrubs or just sit and listen to the jungle life as it chatters back and forth.
Jungle Standard – (1) Double, (3) King and (1) Family King – Last Renovated 2010- These units are all individual cabanas formerly called Gardenview. They feature Belizean Mahogany floors, trim, and cabinetry, Palmetto Wainscoting with Hand Painted Borders, a private bath with shower, and table and chairs for two. French Panel Door units open onto your own private verandah. The Double provides (2) Full Size Beds – Sleeps (4) People – The King provides (1) King Bed – Sleeps (2) People and the Family Room provides (1) King and (2) Twin beds – Sleeps (4) people

Jungle Premier – (3) Second Floor Units – Constructed Fall of 2013 – The Jungle Premier Units offer the same accommodation as the Deluxe unit however the Second Floor Room provides the Palm Thatched Roof and beautiful treetop views with glimpses of the Caribbean Sea. King Room Has (1) Bed – Sleeps (2) People. Second floor unit is a two-story building with one room on each floor.
Jungle Mini – (1) Cabana – Constructed Fall of 2013 – This slightly smaller than normal unit provides all the upgrades the Deluxe units provide in a compact space. It provides the large shower with bench and large vanity with granite top, a queen bed and sitting chair. There is a refreshment center in the connecting hall to the Deluxe room next door. While it can sleep two adults this room is best suited for a single person or as an additional bedroom for families traveling with children. – (1) Queen Bed – Sleeps (2) People.
On site, Ramon’s full service dive shop offers local reef diving, day trips to the Blue Hole, Lighthouse and Turneffe reefs, certification classes, deep sea and flats fishing and mainland land excursions. They have six 24-foot and 34-foot dive boats plus one 42-foot boat.
Their pier extends from the beach over 420 feet, enabling guests to enjoy the spectacular views of the reef to the fullest. Situated at the end of the pier are four thatched roof palapas with comfortable seating for a couple or a group. There is a swim platform with ladders leading into the ocean. While you’re in the water be sure to take a look under the pier — you’ll be amazed at what you might see: schools of fish, a canon and two anchors from an old Spanish galleon.

Ramon’s Village boasts its own superb restaurant with chef Rommy Kie and his staff of professionals. They are routinely recognized by guests as the finest crew on the entire island. Rommy offers a wide range of delicacies including Asian, Cajun and local favorites. You can dine indoors or outside on one of the palm shaded multilevel verandas overlooking the Caribbean. Also popular are the weekly beach barbecues, the Sunday Buffet and the Purple Parrot pool-side bar.
