SunBreeze Beach Hotel

The SunBreeze Beach Hotel is a long-time favorite of divers. It is centrally located at the south end of main street in the small town of San Pedro on Ambergris Caye. Although just outside of the town's activities, you are only a stone's throw from the shops and great restaurants. This hotel is directly on the Caribbean ocean and is protected by a sea wall.

You can take a swim in their fresh water pool while gazing at the ocean, then just step over to the adjacent bar or restaurant for some refreshments. Their full service restaurant, the Blue Water Grill, overlooks the barrier reef and specializes in poultry, fish, and seafood cuisine. Above the restaurant is an observation deck with several hammocks. It's a perfect place for an after-dive snooze.

All 42 rooms at the SunBreeze are very spacious and have air-conditioning, ceiling fans, cable TV, direct dial telephones, private showers. Most rooms have two double beds and a few have one queen bed. There are 5 premier rooms that are located closer to the ocean and offer four-poster beds, upgraded furnishings, mini-refrigerators and a jacuzzi tub. Deluxe rooms have mini-refrigerators and are newly remodeled, with garden and partial ocean views; standard rooms feature more basic furnishings with garden views and no mini-fridge.

Their on-site dive shop, Aqua Dives Belize, offers single-tank dives throughout the day as well as specialty trips to the Blue Hole, Lighthouse Reef and Turneffe Atoll and other popular sites. Their large boats are very comfortable and rarely crowded. The front section is covered - perfect if you get caught in a shower or are a bit chilled. Their fleet includes three 43 foot, one 36 foot and one 26 foot boats. After setting up your gear the first day for a refresher, their friendly staff will take over. For the remainder of your stay they will store and set up your equipment for you. They also offer snorkeling and fishing trips, other water sports and mainland excursions.
